Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Hi Zack, I’m just now watching this podcast. What years were your dad on the corn growers association? My grandfather was the president of the Ohio corn growers association in the late 90s. I’m not sure if other states ever meet together but they could have met before.

Love hearing the memories and the family history. Reminds me of times when my grandpa, uncles and cousins would tell their farming stories. Grandpa and most of the uncles are gone now, but the cousins are thankfully still with us. Anyway, these conversations are priceless. Thanks for recording this and sharing it with us.

Hi my name is Eli Moore I like your videos and your tractors are so cool my dad have a thing called the day and I'm going to get your quadtrac tractor on the day of yay what is coming up in August and I've seen a lot of the videos that you got to Midwest Machinery and Midwest Machinery to us in Indiana is Reynolds Farm Equipment and we love Reynolds Farm Equipment but if you want to in August you could come 2 Reynolds Farm Equipment I'm like August 6th or something like that and you could see they had a quadtrac tractor but it was a compact tractor and they had your tractor there you're quadtrac there and I'm like that's the morning of Farmer's tractor and my dad's like well let's get a picture of you up there so we got a picture of me up on the tractor and I was just smiling ear-to-ear and I would really like to have a conversation with you
Jennifer Moore
Jennifer Moore 3 oy oldin
I would like to see a video of show me your big tractors and Tristan video of removing green because I like it I watch videos of farmers doing nothing but moving around grain and I just watch the video before this video and you were listening to an author house podcast and I looked up and pretended I was in your tractor and I said well water if I could put a fold down TV screen but it's just a thought because I really like I really thought that it would be cool cuz you could just be on your tractor with your auto steering your auto drive on and you can just fold in mirror from your phone and you can watch TV in your tractor

Zach may i make a suggestion? These farm history pieces with your dad are good.Would it be possible to do one on the last 10-15 years? I get the impression there have been some big changes over the years! I think most would find it interesting. Possible things to include: How the farmed area has grown. How and when tech has changed things. The different machinery you've used. Any particularly good or bad years. Maybe even describe how a son (or daughter) takes over from their father - if its not too personal.
Millennial Farmer

Enjoy family history n Off Husk podcast. I don’t mind product advertising as long it’s disclosed, WD 40 new products like chain spray, I brought WD 40 chain lube to try spray to see if makes difference. Another product advertising is farm machinery n my question when will ever going to see piece farm machinery/equipment in action if we were small farmers, yes we have small demonstration days but not all Tractor companies do demonstration days. In the long term if wanted buy equipment at least I seen benefits n problems on UZpost before able buy second hand purchase on farm machinery/equipment.

Question for Nate: What implement dealer at Jackson were you involved with? I grew up southeast of Sherburn in the '50's and early'60's and Dad bought a lot of equipment from Nafziger's in Alpha. Oliver Green! My son worked at Ag Chem in the '90's until they were bought out by Agco. He worked in the office and I guess they brought in their own people. Your former (sorta) neighbor. My Wife.... WTF are you watching a corn farmer for? Me.... Because Race Car! My Wife.... what does that have to do with a Farmer? My first video I saw was you guys in Kansas running Car Owner Corey’s mod you guys were freaking hilarious. It turned me on to the content and I’ve been addicted ever since also figured there is no way this guy is getting rich farming so if my views cover 1 tire per race season then I get a laugh my wife gets annoyed and Zach gets a tire or some fuel 🤣
