Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Hey, i’m a new subscriber. City boy who recently moved from Orange Country, CA to Hendersonville, TN. How about doing a review of the two boats I see in your shop. They look just as nice as the tractors. Interesting channels. Keep up the good work. We need everything you farm.

As a recently retired farmer looking forward as well as back, I can't help but notice how technology is changing the skill set for an average farmer. He/She is doing less physical labor or hiring immigrant labor for this, and becoming more dependent on the technology. I know I wouldn't want to go back to farming without GPS and sub-inch auto-steering. I love John Deere; from my first tractor, a 1972 4020 to my last tractor, an R series that could do anything. I've never owned a John Deere tractor that I didn't sell for more than it's purchase price. It is easy to become attracted to the high priced, high tech, agri-toys from John Deere and other companies, but you have to have a business plan based on continuous growth in size of operation. Whether this is sustainable will depend on global economic forces as well as the affects of climate change. It is much less stressful to watch agribusiness as a retired farmer. I commend Zach and the other farmers using technology and social media for a positive purpose; you are farming the internet and finding new sources of income.

Enjoyable videos to watch (even tho I'll never be in the same "league" as these guys...). Our land doesn't permit farming at this scale, but I don't think many here would be willing (or able) to accept the debt loads these comparatively large operations support. One issue with the "green ones" is their strict limitations on "right to repair" issues. Although I can appreciate J.D.'s position--having to stand behind their warranties--not wanting some tractor monkey messing with things beyond his or her abilities (who might throw the proverbial "wrench" in there somehow...) freedom to perform repairs/mods is an important right. It seems like even tho the farm op is paying for the equipment, with all the restrictions in place they never truly "own" it. But then, I'm a guy who doesn't even want a machine that requires DEF ! And buying used can be a real cost saver.

Hi there Zach! - YT had your video in my 'recommended'-margin, and _am_ I glad for it!... I've already watched several of your videos, but this one hit me like a ton of bricks, believe me!... First of all, you're _definitely_ coming across as an individual who knows what he's on about, secondly - based upon over 60 years of getting to know people from all manner of cultures, I've no problem recognizing a _true,_ genuine, down-to-earth fellow human being when seeing one!.... As far removed from being an 'Ag-man' as myself, nothing prohibits me in realizing that you're actually representing the _very,_ very best America has to offer! . . . . And what your videos also does, for _me_ at least - is evoking fond memories from my own past, namely as a Norwegian sailor, or 'merhcant mariner' as the term goes. I distinctly remember working as a 16 year old ''O.S.'' (or 'Ordinary Sailor'), onboard a Norwegian Bulk Carrier (the M/V ''LANCING''), where I had some of my best experiences at sea - worldwide! - So, it was quite natural for me to think of the times we were stateside (New Orleans, actually!), loading up on corn bound for South Korea. (This was in the late seventies, and as we were informed, the whole shebang was in fact some kind of US relief help to the people of South Korea at the time.) Now, I have of course no way of stating that any of the thousands of tons of prime US corn we were transporting, came from your/your dad's farm, and if in fact - _your_ particular corn were shipped via Louisiana and New Orleans, still, it's a thought . . . (And, it wouldn't be fair _not_ to mention the impact your response upon returning the incredible 8RX to your local dealer, you didn't have to hold a 'Psychology major' to tell your heartfelt emotions right there . . . It really blew me away!.... Also, seeing bits of your family (even though that's not what your videos are about!), _and_ - that you apparently is a 'dog person'! . . . ) All in all, you've got an _extremely_ informative and valuable channel going here, and, need I say: You've got yourself a brand new subscriber! . . . DS: I hope your dad's back on track post surgery!... Take care, stay safe & _Continue Making More Food,_ ya hear! - High Five from Norway!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💓

Absolutely do not néed to apply 2-4d to kill dandelions. Dandeys are harmless and beneficial to understanding what is going on in the soil...like compaction or needing certain micro nutrients. Not only that; Dandy's provide pollen for humble bees and pollinators

😂 your a trip man, love the videos and how informative they are , I love heavy equipment, and farming. 2016 I got sick with glioblastoma in the spinal cord, terminal.. trying to remove it from my spinal cord I lost mobility from chest down. I’m 39 and a father too a 18 yr old son in the Coast Guard and a beautiful daughter 13 yrs of age. A loving wife of 20 yrs together. We grew young you can say together. I roll 🧑🏾‍🦽 now instead of walking. Me being that I used to operate heavy equipment for a living and overall build. Went from that to now watching people on UZpost I stumbled upon your channel and I’m intrigued and in joy to have discovered you and your channel and the joy to watch you and your family. Always told my wife , I wanted to be a farmer and many times I would day dream of what it would be, how it would’ve actually been. I should’ve done it when I was young... 😆 Maybe next lifetime 😉🙂 I enjoy watching your videos, very well done, great angeles and image quality. Here in this video was such a well done montage at 27:40 the shots was very beautiful.. thank you, hope you keep them coming!!

I used to farm, now I am trucking, I run a Volvo truck to pull up to 225000 lbs. Volvo D16 engine, 600HP. My Dad at one point owned a CaseIH 7110 Magnum, 130 HP on the PTO.They had 4 different models up to 210 HP I believe. Now I am kind of surprised that this 410 is there and the one below is 360? To me, it doesn't seem worth it to have hp ratings so close to each other now. It makes production cost higher than just going with the 410 HP and just eliminate the 360 altogether. I like your videos.

Zach - I have a somewhat related question for you. In many of your videos I see a Deere Rep out on your farm offering awesome support. I am sure much of that has to do with your operation size and the UZpost Channel. My question to you is, when and if you have problems with something Deere, who do you reach out to? I bought a new tractor and it is a total "hanger queen." Not only am I paying for a tractor that sits in the dealership for weeks, but not even the dealer gets good support from Deere. They have a “DTAC(?)” open on it and all I am learning is.... Everyone is at the mercy of mother deere. Have you run into any of this? You seem to stay on top of all your equipment and upgrade when technology and efficiency make the money make sense. I really admire that, and love the UZpost Channel.
